Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 April 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PHCP Technologies ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the public HKC website (the "Site"). The Site is designed to present the Human Knowledge Classification (HKC) and related materials without requiring user registration.
1. No accounts; no intentional collection of personal data
The Site does not offer user accounts for general browsing and we do not ask you to submit personal identifiers (such as your name, email address, or phone number) to use the public HKC browsing experience described on the Site.
We do not intentionally collect personal data from visitors for profiling, marketing, or sale. If you voluntarily contact us through external channels (for example, email or social platforms), any information you choose to provide will be handled in line with that channel's policies and your choices when you contact us.
2. Strictly necessary storage on your device
To keep the Site working as expected, your browser may store small amounts of data on your device:
- Language preference: we may store a locale cookie so the Site can remember your selected language on return visits.
- Display preference: we may store your light/dark theme choice in local storage in your browser.
- Performance and offline browsing helpers: the Site may use session storage to cache publicly available article listing data in your browser session to reduce repeated downloads.
These mechanisms are used to operate core functionality and preferences; they are not used to run third-party advertising analytics on the Site as shipped in this repository.
3. Technical data processed when you visit any website
Like most websites, when you request pages or assets, technical information may be processed automatically as part of delivering the service. Depending on how and where the Site is hosted, server logs or content delivery networks may temporarily record information such as IP addresses, request timestamps, URLs, and user-agent strings for security, debugging, and operations.
We do not control every infrastructure provider's logging practices. If you need specifics for a particular deployment, review the privacy documentation of the hosting provider used for that deployment.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Beyond the strictly necessary locale cookie and local storage items described above, we do not intentionally set additional cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking in the Site code in this repository.
5. Third-party services and links
The Site may link to third-party websites (for example, community pages). Those services have their own privacy policies. This Policy does not apply to third-party sites or services.
6. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a communication channel, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
7. International visitors
The Site may be accessed globally. If you access the Site from outside your home country, your information may be processed in countries where servers or operators are located, which may have different data protection rules.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
9. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us through the community channels listed in the Site footer.
